One of my vendors, NW Rapid Mfg, sends out a newsletter monthly and had an article recently about 3D printing and businesses needing to find engineers to produce CAD (Computer Aided Design) for them. 3D printing is amazing, but most people can’t produce the CAD files required to produce a product or object without a hand from a designer or engineer. For their June 2021 newsletter, I was happy to answer their questions about what industrial designers do, how we overlap at times with engineers, and how businesses can find designers to work with. Check out the interview here.
NWRapid has produced many parts for my clients, including many prototype parts for the Bionic Power exoskeleton.
