Man these are expensive, but they must be the coolest looking surf boards I have ever seen! The backlit images showing the light shining through the patterns of cork in the boards are just awesome. This is where I heard about the boards, and it supplies a good, quick explanation of the boards and cork itself.
The sibling team of Gloria Rodríguez Arnal and Ángel Rodríguez Arnal have formed a cork collecting venture in Spain called Corkllectors and launched their first reused cork products, a line of surfboards.
Those of you who know me, know I spent a bunch of time at SOLE and ReCORK collecting millions of used wine corks to be reused as replacements for various petroleum-based foams. Cork is an awesome material with great technical and sustainable features. Seeing it used in this new way is great!
Best of luck to the Arnals!
